Turkish Olympiad HUGE SUCCESS FOR OUR SCHOOL Silver for the Texas Stand! We are so proud of our students for bringing home the second place trophy for the Texas Stand projects/presentation competition. They prepared over 170 great projects out of which only about thirty could fit in the booth for the final competition and only six students could present the “Texas Stand” representing our school. “It was so hard to make a selection since we had many excellent and outstanding projects and students deserving to represent our school”, said Mrs. Qutob, the Social Studies teacher. Students who had the opportunity and privilege to represent Harmony School Of Science (Sugarland) are as follows: Laila Abuzaid, Abdulhamit Keskin, Julia Vo, Alexander Portillo, Shehzeen Shehzad and Ghazzal Qulaghassi. We also had our dance group (“Cotton Eyed Joe”): Raessah Conteh, Kierra Young, Hanna Abuzaid, Meriam Memon. The project created by Kathleen Montgomery, Leah Miranda, Ghazzal Qulaghassi and Shehzeen Shehzad were also taken to Turkey to be a part of the Texas Exhibition which is a great honor. Congratulations to all our hardworking students and committed parents for their time and effort in making this endeavor a humongous success!
